Chad Chapman is the owner of California Art Delivery. 25 years ago, it was founded by Lance Thompson under the name Lance's Delivery. Lance identified a niche in serving discerning clients throughout California. Specializing in fine art, antiques, luxury furnishings, and high-end décor, Lance's Delivery quickly became a trusted name in the industry.

In 2023, Chad Chapman joined the company, and by 2024, Chad transitioned to sole ownership. During this transition, Lance and Chad rebranded the business as California Art Delivery LLC. Chad is committed to preserving Lance's legacy, guided by the principle: "Treat every customer like it's their birthday."

Chad Chapman

Owner & Lead Driver/Art Handler

Chad is the owner of California Art Delivery, bringing years of diverse experience to the fine art logistics industry. His professional journey began with various roles, including work as a merchandiser and delivery driver for Pepsi, and serving in the Army as a combat medic, including a deployment to Iraq in 2005. After his military service, Chad attended the University of Denver, where he earned a degree in management from the Daniels College of Business. During this time, he also launched his career in real estate investment, a field he successfully pursued for over 15 years. Along the way, Chad explored several home-based businesses and startup ventures, blending his entrepreneurial spirit with hands-on experience.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Chad has a passion for mentoring and coaching youth sports. He coached a youth basketball team to win several first-place tournaments and coached a youth athlete to win a national championship in wrestling—experiences that reflect his dedication to helping young athletes grow and succeed.

In 2023, Chad partnered with the business’s previous owner, Lance Thompson, and by early 2024, he had fully transitioned to sole ownership of the company and rebranded it as California Art Delivery. Today, Chad takes pride in providing personalized, white-glove delivery services to clients across California, with hubs in both Silicon Valley and Los Angeles.

When not at work, Chad enjoys an active lifestyle that includes mountain biking, rollerblading, yoga, weightlifting, basketball, and exploring the outdoors through hiking, kayaking, and camping. He also has a love for chess and draws inspiration from personal development and motivational books and podcasts. Above all, Chad treasures quality time with his family and friends.

Sam is reliable and detail-oriented, with a strong background in administration, client support, and operations. At California Art Delivery, she plays a key role in keeping daily operations running smoothly. She oversees scheduling, client communications, and logistics coordination, ensuring that pickups and deliveries are planned with accuracy and efficiency.


With experience supporting executives and managing complex projects, Sam brings precision, adaptability, and consistency to every task. Her commitment to organization, clear communication, and service reflects California Art Delivery’s standards of care, reliability, and white-glove professionalism.
